Happy Faces Vadodara recently concluded a special screening of “Madam Chief Minister”, for its female members. Female members, especially housewives, have always been the centre of every household work. This increased when the entire country was locked down due to an increase in the number of Corona Cases. Female members work a lot for their family by preparing food and taking care of the home. Needless to say, the work increases during the weekends and during the holidays. One can only imagine what they must have gone through during the lockdown, a period when everyone stayed at home for their work or studies.
Everyone must have got an idea while trying to help their mothers of what they go through every day. Happy Faces Vadodara, one day, decided to reward them for their efforts.
The social group held a special screening of “Madam Chief Minister”, starring Richa Chadha, at Inox. The screening was in partnership with the founders of SP CineCorp – Sharad Patel and Shreyanshi Patel.
It is often said that success can be best measured by how much it makes one happy. It will be absolutely correct to say that the screening was a tremendous success. It relieved every female member from the stress and, in fact, charged them up to get back to work with higher energy.
Richa Chadha sent a special video message to the team expressing her happiness after she learnt about the initiative and wished them all the very best for future endeavors.
“I want to thank Inox and Mr. Piyush Khare, the founder of Happy Faces Vadodara, for making the extra efforts in arranging the shows for these ladies, especially during the time of pandemic”, said Richa Chadha.
The social campaign was covered by Katibandh News, a Gujarat-based news channel, and Sandesh, a Gujarat-based newspaper.
One more initiative that deserves a special mention is the organization of Street School.
While most of us have been fortunate enough to go to a good school and study with a comfortable environment around us, there is a less fortunate section of the society that cannot afford to go to a school. Street School by Happy Faces Vadodara is an initiative by which the team reaches out to kids from less fortunate section and imparts education for free.
Education to one empowers an individual but education to many empowers the country, and Happy Faces Vadodara has taken a step in that direction.
The initiative is called Mission Education and it is in association with Child Friendly Vadodara, also known as “C FV”. The Street School is run by volunteers who are extremely passionate about teaching less fortunate children, who are in turn extremely passionate about educating themselves to make our country a better place. The team provides books (designed & donated by Khyati Vasaivala from Steps Educational Institute) and bags (donated by Bhumika Gandhi Rajput & her family) to its students at no cost.
The Street School organizes extra-curricular activities too. One recent activity that the school organized was “Republic Day Celebration”. The activity was conducted on January 26, 2021 (Tuesday), and many of their students participated in the activity. Participation by the students created an environment that was no less than a grand celebration. The performances were followed by a magic show that was arranged by Deepika Jain & Shashang Desai from The Big Day, lunch that was sponsored by Richa & Arpit Patel, and chocolate distribution.
A cause becomes noble only when people wilfully come forward to make a generous contribution. On the auspicious day, many people came forward to donate equipment that would now serve as an essential part of the school. This includes blackboards & smart pens donated by Dr. Ruchi Raval, school benches donated by Aliasgar Baldiwala & family, and wallpapers donated by Dhanraj Jadhav from Atharv Enterprise.
Team work always plays an important role in achieving a goal. Both the initiatives, even the previous initiatives, would not have been possible without the help and support of volunteers. There is a lot that needs to be done and volunteers are working on it 24*7.
The team has always received tremendous support from all of you, and I hope that you continue to shower them with your love, support and blessings.
