A Night With The Stars

Its nothing but pure euphoria to be crafting this beauty in not one. Not two. But on a thousand innocent faces.
Happy Faces Vadodara felt every bit of the ecstacy at “The Night With The Stars” , where the atmosphere reverberated with the laughter, happiness and frenzy of 1000 underprivileged and specially abled kids.
We as a team believe in celebrating children and childhood. And so we did. A grand ,starry celebration was organised by Happy Faces Vadodara, where 1000 underprivileged children and specially-abled kids were our stars. The event was organised on the 23rd February 2020, at the Amphitheatre, Kamatibaug.
The biggest challenge for us was bringing them all under one umbrella. And we as a team, rose to the occasion. Children from over 100 NGOs were personally invited and everything – right from their arrival to departure was taken care of. Transportation was arranged for kids of NGOs that couldn’t manage coming down.

The Event:
- Every kid that arrived was given a special welcome. Gandharva Band welcomed the children with foot tapping and thundering Dhol. The beats reverberated the fun that was just going to begin.
- Once all the kids were welcomed and seated, the magical evening was commenced with an enthralling dhol tasha performance by the Gandharva Dhol Tasha Vadodara.
- Mind over Matter! The super talented A2 World Record Holder, Master Ronit Rajesh Joshi performed mind-boggling tricks that no one could ever have imagined. The children were spellbound by his sheer brilliance.
- The children could just not stop their feet to the energetic and enthusiastic steps doled out by the ravishing Zumba trainer, Urvashi Parwani. They joined her on the stage where they matched their steps with Urvi in the same energy and zeal.
- It was then , the turn for the evening to get melodious and musical. The lovely ladies from Swaranjali Music Academy that got fame with India’s Got Talent came down to turn the evening synchronous with that of old and soulful and melodious songs.
- Some amazing songs, peppy and jumpy numbers and catchy music by the live musical band called Ashva Band took the stage by storm. Ashva band was associated with Happy Faces Vadodara for this event and their performance made every single kid hum and groove to their tunes.
- The kids were then entertained by another star performer of the night, Ashraf Pathan who sung songs that hit the right cords with the children. The evening was fraught with music, lyrics and soul-soothing enigmatic atmosphere.
- Last and not the least – Mrs. Pooja Desai – Mrs. India Pride of Nation 2019 who is the 2019 Mrs. India winner was proudly called upon the stage for giving a motivational and inspirational speech.
- It was then, the time to applaud, appreciate and thank the givers of the society. The social workers. 75 groups of NGOs, who work for the welfare of the society and our supporting partners , who helped us with our activities throughout the year were felicitated with mementoes by Mrs. Pooja Desai and were appreciated for their efforts.
The whole event was planned out over a span for 3 hours at the end of which Goodie bags consisting of sweets, snacks and gifts were distributed among the the kids.
The Effort:
The evening had been designed and planned since many months. Organising and arrangement was one mammoth-sized task but every single member of Happy Faces Vadodara worked relentlessly and with a combined effort built the foundation, walls and the entire structure of the event brick by brick and made it super successful. The sole driving force being that every child that evening has an unforgettable ,starry experience.
Happy Faces Vadodara feels every child is special. There are no discriminations in the world of kids. The pure, happy and divine feeling that only children exuberate is what Happy Faces protects; ensuring that their smile should always be blooming.
